Moved In

Thursday morning 1:30 am, we started driving from Amherst down to Pennsylvania. We got here checked out the town, and visited the plant I'll be working at. I start Monday. We drove around and checked out some of the apartments for rent.

One of the places that I found and called ahead of time is about 3 blocks from the plant and a block from downtown. The landlords told me that it was a Victorian house and that they live in it too. By Victorian, I took that as their way of telling me its 'old' and I didn't know quite how I felt about living with the landlords. But when we drove by.... O my gosh this house was sssooooo gorgeous. And when we walked into the house, it was even better.

I now take up the second floor, pretty aint it. not that I will ever choose to own a house like that one day. but its nice to have lived in a house of that sort.

For the last week I've been in training 7 to 3:30. o its so early but getting off at 3 is such a great feeling. This coming week I start at 8, but I have a flexible schedule... so its pretty much whatever. Many of you asked me why I was willing to stay in Penn by myself for the summer. Well its very simple really.

1) they paid me to relocate (which now will cover my rent for the summer 2) they pay me well 3) Schreiber is a rocking company 4) let's not forget that this will be engineering related versus going home and working at... a fast food joint

I think I'm falling in love with Schreiber In my spare time I am finishing up my knitted blanket, currently 2/5 way there. hopefully I'll finish in time for winter. I might try out a free trial gym membership here. Got myself a library card and am catching up on my nicholas sparks reading. My friend list includes the 3 other interns here... such a loser lol the girls I hang out with are from Kansas and Wisconsin, so we really are just each others friends...

Yesterday was company picnic. that was nice. o yea I have something else to share. Let me start by asking where you went to eat last time you had some sort of fast food or perhaps the last time you bought any kind of cheese or cream cheese (not Kraft brand). Well most likely, that cheese in your meal or bought was Schreiber made. what you should be thinking should be something along the lines of... wow that's so cool. Because you can't get away from Schreiber cheese! muuuhahahahaha And I work for them!

As usual my family... problems, if you might call them so, still linger around. even though I am oh.... 6000 miles from HK and 2000 from CO. ridiculous. and I'm 400 from the heart I call home. o jessica... well my mother and brother will most likely be "visiting" me this summer... by visiting I meant service, live with, and take care of for 1-2 months. last time I checked, I'm 17, financially unstable and stressed out of my mind. ok I admit it, that's a little bitter and unfair. but you get the idea. you might say God's favorites have a hard time. I'll tell you I'm not loving that idea very much.

mmm... o! Schreiber's taking me to green bay. wot wot. I get to go to a conference for 2 days. sssuupppeeerr excited hehe~ it will be my first business travel ever. (most likely alone too) alright that's about it. have a happy and safe summer.

Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you, tell you I need you
Tell you i set you apart

Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions
Oh let's go back to the start
Running in circles, coming up tails
Heads on a silence apart

Nobody said it was easy, it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be this hard

Oh take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling your puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart

Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing our tails
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy, Oh it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be so hard

I'm going back to the start

Summer

Alright, so simply this summer I'll be staying in Shippensburg, PA, which is in the middle of Pittsburg and Philly. I'll be working 40+ hours for an internship with Schreiber Foods. They are a global enterprise and the world's largest customer-brand dairy company. It's engineering related and I am pretty excited.

I got one more final to go then I'm moving down for the summer. Most likely, I won't be coming back to CO. So this is an ahead of time apologies for missing graduations, parties, hang outs, camps and so on. Give me a call on the cell and say hey.

Toronto

I just don't know why. why is xanga such a GREAT place to go and procrastinate when you have MANY things to do. Forgive me for my many recent absences, xanga. I have found facebook... lol

Anyways, spring break was last week and it was pretty great for me. I visited Toronto with Louis and did the tourist type things. CN Tower, Casa Loma (it means house on the hill, which in fact is a castle), Chinatown, Niagara Falls...

O o o, I must tell you about the dinner theatre. It was one of the who dun it type. The plot was with Anna Nicole Smith and her late husband who "accidentally" got stabbed in the chest with a sword. We had lunch and when desert came all the characters started greeting us. Anna greeted and hugged every single male in the room as her old boyfriend... We, the audience are suppose to know the dead guy and went to the funeral in the morning. And after lunch would be the reading of the will. Anyways, it was really fun and when we had to fill out little cards and guess who did it. Yes, that's correct. I guessed right. But no, I didn't guess. Because with the intensive hours of training I have with CSI (lol) I could write a whole 10 page essay on how I knew it was him. So I got a dorky hat for a prize =P

So let me tell you the things I have to do that I'm not doing right now. tomorrow I have a paper due which actually I already finished. But on Thursday, I have engineering homework and project due, plus physics exam at night. With physics homework due on Friday which must be completed before the exam because it is covered. On top of that, calc and physics lab is due on Friday. Which on Saturday I must go to Engineering Open House. Why you might ask? Because yours truly is a Student Ambassador for a program at UMass. So I will bust out my maroon UMass gear and stand proudly as the most dangerous school in the United States.

Ah, plans for the summer are still kinda iffy. I've gotten a summer job offer in boulder for environmental related sort of work (pays well). But my main priority is to find an electrical engineering related internship (pays great lol). Which as time is slowly crunching, and my interviews are passing one by one... I must admit I'm a tiny teeny bit worried. but at the same time still confident that I will be somehow working my butt of this summer. So whether its going to be in Mass or Colo will really have to depend.

I miss everyone and y'all can give me a call sometime if you're thinking of me too. My excuse for not calling you first will be... that I sleep early, go to class, and work. =D

ssssooo... if i said jess wasn't dead, would you believe me?  anyways this is just an update, i'm doing well. pretty well. trying real hard to focus everything i got into school. and that's pretty difficult. meh, nothing too much going on cept from my monday, wednesday, and fridays of 9-1 classes then 2-5 work. tuesday and thursday are one or two classes so i use that to catch up on the sleep or projects.

school itself is not horrible i guess you could say, i'm taking 5 classes and well they're all pretty interesting, not enough that you would fall asleep in... and thats big. i gotten some fishes over the past week. some neon tetras, zebras and bumblebee gobies. real cute and energetic. theyre right on my desk so they entertain whem im stuck.

o and tuesday was v-day, how could anyone possible forget  lou and i just went out for dinner and then hung out for the rest of the night. it was nice. corse there was gift exchange along the line and well.. lets just say i got enough chocolate to last me a good long while. glow in the dark stars to stick all over my room and a new poster to replace the old one. its of a painting by monet. its pretty. but thats all besides the point. because every day is like v-day with us. i think thats pretty awesome. and i realize ive become or we've become one of those gross icky couples that seem to be always cheery and happy that i always hated. louis is special though , its weird how i've never felt so comfortable with anyone. and good or bad, well thats up for grabs. ooo man im gonna stop.

anyways, when youre bored, give me a call. still the same cell, well thats cuz i got my a new cell, yay! hehe~ alright take care peeps
