Thursday morning 1:30 am, we started driving from Amherst down to Pennsylvania. We got here checked out the town, and visited the plant I'll be working at. I start Monday. We drove around and checked out some of the apartments for rent.
One of the places that I found and called ahead of time is about 3 blocks from the plant and a block from downtown. The landlords told me that it was a Victorian house and that they live in it too. By Victorian, I took that as their way of telling me its 'old' and I didn't know quite how I felt about living with the landlords. But when we drove by.... O my gosh this house was sssooooo gorgeous. And when we walked into the house, it was even better.

I now take up the second floor, pretty aint it. not that I will ever choose to own a house like that one day. but its nice to have lived in a house of that sort.
For the last week I've been in training 7 to 3:30. o its so early but getting off at 3 is such a great feeling. This coming week I start at 8, but I have a flexible schedule... so its pretty much whatever. Many of you asked me why I was willing to stay in Penn by myself for the summer. Well its very simple really.
1) they paid me to relocate (which now will cover my rent for the summer 2) they pay me well 3) Schreiber is a rocking company 4) let's not forget that this will be engineering related versus going home and working at... a fast food joint
I think I'm falling in love with Schreiber In my spare time I am finishing up my knitted blanket, currently 2/5 way there. hopefully I'll finish in time for winter. I might try out a free trial gym membership here. Got myself a library card and am catching up on my nicholas sparks reading. My friend list includes the 3 other interns here... such a loser lol the girls I hang out with are from Kansas and Wisconsin, so we really are just each others friends...
Yesterday was company picnic. that was nice. o yea I have something else to share. Let me start by asking where you went to eat last time you had some sort of fast food or perhaps the last time you bought any kind of cheese or cream cheese (not Kraft brand). Well most likely, that cheese in your meal or bought was Schreiber made. what you should be thinking should be something along the lines of... wow that's so cool. Because you can't get away from Schreiber cheese! muuuhahahahaha And I work for them!
As usual my family... problems, if you might call them so, still linger around. even though I am oh.... 6000 miles from HK and 2000 from CO. ridiculous. and I'm 400 from the heart I call home. o jessica... well my mother and brother will most likely be "visiting" me this summer... by visiting I meant service, live with, and take care of for 1-2 months. last time I checked, I'm 17, financially unstable and stressed out of my mind. ok I admit it, that's a little bitter and unfair. but you get the idea. you might say God's favorites have a hard time. I'll tell you I'm not loving that idea very much.
mmm... o! Schreiber's taking me to green bay. wot wot. I get to go to a conference for 2 days. sssuupppeeerr excited hehe~ it will be my first business travel ever. (most likely alone too) alright that's about it. have a happy and safe summer.
Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry You don't know how lovely you are I had to find you, tell you I need you Tell you i set you apart
Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions Oh let's go back to the start Running in circles, coming up tails Heads on a silence apart
Nobody said it was easy, it's such a shame for us to part Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be this hard Oh take me back to the start
I was just guessing at numbers and figures Pulling your puzzles apart Questions of science, science and progress Do not speak as loud as my heart
Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me Oh and I rush to the start Running in circles, chasing our tails Coming back as we are
Nobody said it was easy, Oh it's such a shame for us to part Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start
